I Still Have Something to Sing

I am currently producing a new version of my one-woman show, I Still Have Something to Sing.

In this two-act show, I weave together narrative and 22 of my original songs to tell the story of life before and after my diagnosis of MS. I wrote several of these songs to inspire me when I was dealing with weakness, fatigue, and depression. But now I hope the show will have a greater purpose — inspiring others who are dealing with similar challenges, or helping people understand how to support friends and family members who live with an on-going illness. Though my show is about one person and one disease, Bobbi-in-closet-web I believe it will resonate with anyone facing struggles.

I decided to record a video version of my show because living with MS makes my life too unpredictable to be able to perform it night after night on a stage. Weakness and fatigue are major issues for me. In fact,  when it was time to record my vocals, I was too fatigued to drive across LA to the recording studio. So my engineer, Edward Auslender, brought his equipment to my home and recorded the narrative and all of the songs in my walk-in closet. What a guy!

The story is about life’s detours and obstacles, but more importantly, it’s about determination and hope. Musical styles range from pop ballads, samba, and jazz, to blues, rock, and R&B.
