About Bobbi

Bobbi-stripesCreativity is at the heart of Bobbi Vandervort. As a singer, songwriter, artist, author, and mother, she strives to bring a strong creative influence into every facet of her life.

After attending the University of Washington in Seattle, Bobbi moved to California to begin her primary career in music. Early Years of Singing Jingles As a studio singer, she has sung on hundreds of radio/television commercials and movie soundtracks, from Glory to Aladdin. While living in San Francisco, she rehearsed with Carlos Santana’s band and did impromptu vocal arranging for Van Morrison’s album, “Beautiful Vision.”

She has written and recorded a one-woman audio show called “Singing My Way Back,” three albums, and one television theme. Studio Session In the 1990’s, Bobbi wrote and performed a live one-woman, multi-media show entitled “Heart to Heart,” combining twelve of her songs, a narrative and visuals.

To protect her health when she was diagnosed with MS in the late 1990s, Bobbi stopped working as a studio singer and turned her creative energies toward clothing design, artwork, home furnishings, and theme parties.

Bobbi grew up in Seattle, Washington, in a diverse family that included her adopted sister and two foster brothers. Her parents’ philosophy regarding the importance of helping others left an indelible mark on her life. Bobbi hopes to inspire and empower others through her Web site and musical projects.
