Clothing Design

Designing clothes began as a necessity and became joy. I have an unceasing curiosity, bordering on lascivious obsession, when it comes to good design. It doesn’t matter if it is architecture, automobiles, furnishings or fashion. I gaze, touch, tingle with excitement upon encountering an eye-catching element in a room, a car fender, a sofa or a gown.

In my lifetime, I have rarely had the kind of discretionary income needed to purchase Armani or Dior, so my mother taught me to sew, and then I took it to the next level. Along the way, I discovered that by nature, I am frugal and am far more inspired when challenged to create a personal style, rather than to buy one. I “pretend” I have less to spend, provoking an almost constant state of creative problem solving.
